Thursday brought a bit more settling. We got almost all of the kitchen unpacked and semi-organized. Somehow, having the kitchen unpacked makes it feel like home. If I know where my pots and pans are, and can cook a meal, it's home. {Granted, the meal I "cooked" included Campbell's chicken noodle soup and some oven-baked chicken nuggets, it was still better than Mickey D's.}
In the spirit of transparency, here's where we stand now...
Miss Allie is starting to feel at home. Here she is laying in our bed watching cartoons yesterday. {Of course, not without her baby.} |
The semi-organized kitchen. We're getting there... |
Allie has already successfully demolished the living room. Juice has already made its way on to the floor, and there are crayons, toys, and tiny bracelets everywhere. {I secretly love it.} |
I am seriously in love with the archways in this house. I cannot wait to decorate them at Christmas with garland. {Assuming my pregnant self can climb on a step-ladder to do so at that point.} |
In the midst of all this, I have been throughly enjoying my amazing new furniture, especially this awesome accent chair:
My new favorite place to sit. LOVE it. |
I feel a little like I'm living in a hotel at the moment. New furniture, new fridge, new house...it's all pretty surreal. I am so humbled, grateful, and dumbfounded at the ways God has gently led us through this season, and into a new one. I can't wait to see all the new relationships, ministries, and exciting things He has for us in Keller!
