{Market Yourself} Monday

I'm linking up with Sumo's Sweet Stuff today for Market Yourself Monday. It's seems a little senseless to be marketing myself when my Etsy shop is closed, but hopefully my wonderful little sewing machine should be out of the shop this week, so here goes!

I love how many possibilities there are within this one little project! Different frames, different color schemes. I'd love to see what one looked like with solid fabrics, too. I can't wait to sell more of these and see the designs, fonts, and colors people pick out!

Lots of new designs!

I've had fun over the past few weeks working on some fun new designs! Here's a little peek into what I've been doing...

New Labels!

A few weeks ago, I decided to switch from my traditional "sewn-in" labels to some iron-on labels, and I love them! All of my Freckled Pink goodies will now be labeled with these machine washable, brightly colored labels. I guessed that boys wouldn't want hot pink labels on their clothes and burp cloths, so the boys' labels are green. I'm so happy with how they turned out!

Summer is Here!

The heat index here was 105 today! It is officially summer, ready or not. Luckily, we spent our morning visiting with family at the pool, and enjoying some tasty grilled burgers for lunch!

I've been having fun with some new designs for the summer season...

I LOVE all of the bright colors everyone gets decked out in during the summer! I wish we surrounded ourselves with that much color all year long. It's my favorite time of year to stock up on amazingly fun, colorful, cute fabrics, too!

While I'm Waiting on Baby Allie...

Still no baby around here! I guess that's to be expected since her due date is still a week and a half away! I'm slightly impatient, though. We're so ready to meet her!

Anyway, here are a few things I've been working on while waiting on this little one. Some are orders I completed before my shop closed in November, and others are gifts or just for fun! Merry Christmas week, everyone!

My First Wholesale Order

I filled my first wholesale order this week, after 3 long weeks of work! I'm so thankful for the business, and it's so fun to see my things on someone else's site, too!

Time Flies!

Time has flown so fast in 2009! I am grateful to say I've been so busy with orders that I've neglected my poor blog once again.

Here are a few things I've been working on lately...

God has opened doors for me to do lots of fun, new projects this year, and I'm so excited about every one of them!

I also work part-time teaching sewing lessons (alongside my precious grandmother) to young girls. They make a garment in the Fall, then another in Spring. Tomorrow is our annual Spring Fashion Show in which the girls model their latest creations. So fun! I will try to post a few pictures if I can.

Freckled Pink on LolliShops

I'm trying to get better about posting here more often, really I am!

Over the past couple of months, I've had the privilege of setting up a storefront on LolliShops.com, "the frou frou friendly marketplace". It is completely adorable! I love that LolliShops item categories are things like "Elegant Whimsy" and "Fanciful Creations".


It is a fun place to sell and shop alike. Check it out when you have a minute!

I had fun last week making this adorable shirt (front and back) for a frequent customer of mine. It turned out so fun and festive that I listed it as two separate shirt options on Etsy and on my newly updated website, FreckledPink.com.

New Shop...New Look

As I may have mentioned, I got accepted to the new online marketplace, LolliShops, recently! I'm so very excited about it, and can't wait for the site to debut later this year!

After much encouragement from the LolliShops Blog, I decided to give Freckled Pink a makeover.

I only tried about 20 different designs before coming up with this delightful, feminine, pink and yellow combo. I'd love to hear everyone's feedback!


I'm thinking of making the background dots a little brighter, but they might just be showing up lightly because I'm on my MacBook, not using my external monitor right now.

Time Flies When You're Busy!

I can't believe I haven't blogged here in so long!

Here are some pictures of the things that have been keeping me busy...

I am currently working on tons of fun accessories for an adorable little boy's first birthday. The theme is "Safari Animals", so I'm surrounded by all sorts of fun animal prints as I type today! I'll be sure to update soon with pictures of all of this fun safari-themed stuff I'm making.

Spring is Coming! Or is it?

It seemed this weekend that Spring was finally on it's way. This morning, it is back to being cold and rainy. So disappointing!

These adorable egg soaps by Annie's Powder Room are so fun for Easter! I have some of Annie's soaps, and I love them! They never dry out my sensitive skin, and they smell so fantastic!

First-Time Listing!

I'm excited to have listed my first baby gift set last night on Etsy!

A little disappointed that the colors didn't show up brighter with the use of my
amazing new Sony DSLR-A200 camera, but it was the first time I'd
ever used it, so I gave myself a break!

Isn't that the funniest Anniversary card you've ever seen? It's by JeanFrancisBean. I found these hilarious cards while roaming around Etsy this week, and I can't wait for an occasion to order one!

These brightly-colored 'Scripture Magnets' are definitely on my list of favorites for this week. I love that the seller, The Purple Pear, was bold enough to state that they were inspired by some favorite scripture verses. That makes them even more lovable! These would look so great on my fridge...if I only had some spare cash!








This is the fun 'Get Well' card I made for a friend this week. I went nuts at Hobby Lobby a few days ago and bought a TON of new papers to play with. This is the first one I've actually made time to use, and I just love the way it turned out! View it on Etsy.

New Years Crafting!

I have been creating my little heart out the past week and a half! I always enjoy a blog more if it has pictures....so.....
