What's This?!

I am 18 weeks pregnant this week. We are praising God that I'm almost halfway through this pregnancy, and things are going so well!

I guess starting about 2-3 weeks ago, I went from being able to squeeeeeeeze into my pants to having to take my first trip to the mall in search of maternity clothes. Where did this tummy come from?! It's been a little adventure learning about and watching my growing belly!

My emotions are completely out of whack, too. I can tell, because some days I wake up and look at myself in the mirror and think, "Where did the belly go? I think it was bigger yesterday! What if something is wrong?!" Other days, my first thought when I glance at my reflection is, "Good GRIEF! Did I double in size overnight?!" Both thoughts send me into a whirlwind of emotions that ultimately always lead me back to thinking on Truth. I have to be sure that I spend time with my tall glass of OJ and my Bible every morning to walk through this season of life and keep my eyes fixed on God instead of my changing body.

It has been exciting to feel some little flutters inside, but I am even more excited for Adam to be able to feel them along with me. I can't wait for all that's to come!

I will never forget where we were and the look on John's face the first time he felt John V moving in my belly. Unbelievable experience. And it is just as exciting with every pregnancy!

So fun to feel them movin' around, sometimes I would just be completely entertained for hours waiting to feel something, LOVE that :) AND I can't wait to hear what your having!!!

Oh yes, and your horomones are completely normal...pregnancy will make you feel like you're insane sometimes ;)

Courtney - I can't wait for that! I think Adam is getting discouraged, because I keep making him "try to feel". Hopefully this will happen soon! Such a fun time!

Kara - Thanks! I can't wait to hear what we're having either!! Thankfully, I've had a few days of sanity leading up to my sono this week, so hopefully I won't bawl like a baby when they tell us!

But if you do bawl like a baby, that's okay!! You look lovely ~ we can't wait to see you and Mrs. Cox in a couple of weeks!
