post christmas blues

I miss Christmas already! (I say this, while I can still look across the room at our beautifully decorated Christmas tree...)

I love days like today. Adam is addicted to his new PS3 that his amazingly wonderful wife saved up for and gave him. I'm glad he loves it, even if it means having to repeat myself 2 or 3 times every time I want him to hear something. I love to give excellent gifts like that!

He gave me a wonderful new NASB Study Bible. It's massive! Especially in comparison to the pocket-sized one I was getting used to. I'm thrilled with it, though. It has book and chapter outlines, a dictionary AND concordance, and every map you could imagine. I can't wait to see all that I learn in the years I use this Bible. I always wonder, when I get a new Bible, where in life I will find myself the next time I get one. I like to keep a good Bible for several years, until it's good and highlighted, and falls open to my favorite passages without me having to look for them.



I haven't done this in a long while, but....HIGH/LOW:

High: Christmas was wonderful. I couldn't have planned it better if I were in charge.

Low: It's over.

High: We get another holiday this week! Woohoo! Plus Adam gets another 4 day weekend!

Low: I've eaten too many Christmas goodies this week. But I am proud to say, I've only missed one work-out during the holidays. YAY!

High: A great conversation about New Years Resolutions and Jesus with my best friend this afternoon. I miss her.

Low: My headphones are itchy in my ears.
