oceans will part

Sunday night, after a looong weekend of weddings and family gatherings, I got to go out to my brother's church for a refreshing evening of worship.

It has been a long while since I've experienced such an amazing, sincere, genuine time of worship as I experienced on Sunday night. (I know, I'm biased since my talented brother is on the worship team!) This is not my bias talking, though. The presence of the Lord was so alive and active in that place!

My brother, Blake, standing in one of his favorite places on earth: the stage in his church.
The pastor even took time to single Blake out and encourage him, affirm him, and pray
over his life. What a blessing!

I'm so thankful that I serve a God who desires to connect with me on such a personal level.

If my heart has grown cold
There Your love will unfold
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand
When I’m blind to my way
There Your Spirit will pray
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand

Oceans will part, nations come
At the whisper of Your call
Hope will rise glory shown
In my life Your will be done

Present suffering may pass
Lord Your mercy will last
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand
And my heart will find praise
I’ll delight in Your way
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand
